Indication

Vacuum Bell for Pectus Excavatum, gives traction, support and mobility, stimulating the thoracic region and helping to decrease the strain of the disease. It can be used in conjunction with conservative methods, even during physiotherapy.

Recomendation

It is a silicone thoracic orthosis that, when used by males, has an integrated bell shape with a display / cover made of transparent rigid material, and when used by female patients, has the shape of a hourglass for the appropriate fit between the breasts.

The combination of these elements turns this device into a powerful suction cup. Once the product is positioned on the chest, just use the hand pump adapted in the thoracic orthosis so that the patient submits a vacuum in the anterior thoracic wall, exerting negative pressure.

This device should only be used in the cases of Pectus Excavatum which is the most common chest wall strain and one of the most frequent major congenital anomalies.

Example of a patient

Theo, evolutionary result in 5 months, from January to May, using vacuum treatment for one hour in (3x) sessions per day. In blue, observe the measurements with the chest at rest and in orange, during the Valsalva maneuver (deep inspiration).
